Comparte Coche = Car pooling

Wendy . Blog Shakespeare slept here! Publicado 15 Octubre 2012

Those of you who have a short commute don't need to read this.
You've got it made. A few blocks and you're at work or school. However
many of you may have a long commute. You sit in traffic and get frustrated.
You know that a lot of others are feeling the same way, sitting alone in their cars and waiting it out. You wish you could be in a FAST TRACK lane, a 3-in-a-car lane, a Car Share lane. Sometimes you take the bus, but you'd rather take your car or ride in someone else's. The solution: commuting with others.

You know that thousands of people come to UEM every day. Many of them may live near you. It's time to start doubling, tripling, cuadrupling up in cars and saving on gas! You could even declare your car an "English only commuter" and practice your English while you're on the road.

Hello everybody, I´m agree with the advantages to share car for the commutes to the UEM. I must pay a toll every day and also I think the drive is boring, with Wendy proposed the journey can be helpful and fun at same time than cheaper. Practice english while you are on the road with "commute english" is a terrific idea. Best regards.

Carpool it's a good idea. One of the reasons is you would save fuel, money and help the environment. However, I need some concentration to speak english. Or speak english or driving.

Why don´t you ask for a web to manage "car pooling at UEM"? In this Crisis time, It´s a good idea to share your car, you know people, you share knowledge, you share experiences, you save money, you save time if you go to UEM campus by bus, you heal the world. It's great.

It seems to me a good idea but I don´t like carpooling so much right now. I don´t like waiting for two hours for someone to come out of their class or their work, while I can just drive home straight after work. I also hate it with somebody that is too quiet. Seriously, it´s awkward, I´m just jamming to my music and there´s someone right next to you that just sitting there. No peep unless you ask something.

I´ve heard about it previously. On the radio have spoken many times about the importance of "car pooling" and the benefits for our "pockets" and the environment. Some friends have decided to come to the university together when our schedules coincide.

It´s a wonderfull idea to improve your english and to meet new people, also it´s possible that you may save some money. But, there are situations in which it isn´t possible to do, for example, i live in Toledo, I meet some people who live here too, but my timetable isn´t compatible with their, so I can´t use this system in a long commute.

A lot of people have a long commute to the university. A big part of this people go by car, so, at the start and the end of work journal there are traffics jamb in the roads nears of the university, and M40 or M50 connections. Other advantages of made commute by car are the parking places, and the gas price. If you go to the work by public transport you can go reading, studying, you can save energy and money. The worst part of public transport may be the times, and the massification in busy hours. For this reason, there are people don’t like the public transport, so the solution may be car poolling; this way the people may share expenses of the car and to decrease the traffic jump, parking problems, and environment pollution. But I think that the people use the car for commutes don’t like the traffic jump but they like travel in their car alones. For this reasons the car pooling in Spain is a commute way little used.

I haven't heard about it before, but is a great idea. I don't know if it is in use or is only an utopia. Last year, speaking with a collegue, we were talking about the possibility of sharing the car (carpooling), since we live not too far away. However, it couldn't be possible, because our timetables are not compatible. What a pity!!

Well it seems a good idea, is what we did when we went to many college, every day one had the car. However, I see some problems • We do not always start at the same time • We do not always finish at the same time • We do not always live near other colleagues with the same schedule • We do not always use the Villaviciosa campus, we often have to move to the Moraleja campus However, it is worth a try, and to solve problems it would be useful to have a site for circulating information about timetables and routes between peers.

It's a great idea, but the problem is that people has different work schedules, classes, so perhaps one or two times is possible to coincide, but there will be a lot of problems to get both people go to the University at the same time

I think car pooling is the best idea for come at the University everyday, but not all the employees have the same schedule and this is the big problem. It´s very difficult to coincide with neighbors and timetables.

It seems to me a good idea to carpool. I agree with the above. AAs the article says, you would save gasoline, you could be faster to University and you could meet new people. If they are people of another country, you could learn their language and culture. In addition, the person would have more time for study and leisure. It´s a good method.

In my opinion, that’s a great idea, but it isn’t very easy to carry out. It’s true that you can carpool with another student or teacher but it’s very difficult to agree; I have a friend who is looking for a car to go to class since September and she still not found anything. I live in Villaviciosa, next to the university so I don’t have any problems for go to class every day. But last year I lived very far away from my university and that was very uncomfortable for me; fortunately, I had a car and I only took thirty minutes to arrive to class but it was a bit stressful. So that’s why I’ve decided to live next to my university this year.

It's really a good idea, but is has a problem, u might be too shy to talk about it, I must admit I'm lucky of living near the university. Althought it, we reduce pollution, meet new people, i really support this option.
