Love Letters for Valentine's Day
Writing Love letters. A lovely activity for the week preceding Valentine's Day. Hundreds of students and staff are participating again this year. And why not? We mustn't dwell on the negative, on our worries.
You're not too late to post a message on the bulletin boards for everyone to see. Some of the letters are serious, others are funny. Many are in English and Spanish, but I've also seen several in French and German. This morning Almudena pointed out the ones her students in German 1 had written. She says, "Don't think about it, just do it. Love is in the air..." "Liebe liegt in der Luft."
If you've been to Verona, Italy, you've most likely seen the wall in the courtyard under Juliette's balcony. Thousands of love letters are posted there.
