Welcome International Students, September 2013

We hope you enjoy your stay at UEM. Some of you have already been to some of our classes and our English activities. Did you like CULTURE SHOCK and SPEED EXCHANGE?

You're all invited to participate in any of the other activities you see us doing on campus.. We want you to make new friends and enjoy your time at UEM.

Be sure to come to the WELCOME STANDS at the end of September, beginning of October. We'll do more activities and some of the same. The more people you meet, the better your experience abroad will be ! Look at the LANGUAGE CENTER webpage for schedules or drop by to see us in Building B. English Activities are also posted on the NEWSLETTER each month.

Did you come to UNIVERSITY REPORTERS today Those of you who did practiced asking questions and and then interviewed others. We were quite an international group, representing Spain, Mexico, Hungrary, Germany, Finland, England, Portugal, Brazil, France, Moldavia, USA, Italy, Turkey and many more.

Hope to see you around campus

* Remember we have our BOOK EXCHANGE & SALE and our THANKSGIVING PIE TASTING FEAST & Cooking Contest in November. All the money we earn will go to a charity.

Wendy, your activities are great. I've seen first hand how much the students enjoy them and have a great time speaking English. The best way to improve your language skill is by speaking and interacting with other people. You not only get some much needed practice but you get to meet new people and learn new things. I recommend everyone to check out Wendy's English Activites. You won't regret it! Thanks Wendy! Jerry Kammer UEM English Teacher

Hi Wendy, My name is Alejandro Rovelo. I'm an English teacher at Universidad del Valle de México, Tuxtla campus (also a member of Laureate International Universities).I find your blog to be very interesting and entertaining. I love the work you guys are doing there to motivate and involve students during the process of learning English. I have tried my self some of the activities shown in the blog and they have worked really well here, too. I enjoyed a lot taking a look at the blog, I will recommend it to other English teachers and students as well. It's a great one! Best, Alex.
