"International" Speed Exchange: You missed it ! Or did you?
September 13th and 15th, 2011
33 UEM students participated in the two sessions of "International" SPEED EXCHANGE this September. They rotated around the tables, met lots of new people, exchanged email addresses and cell phone numbers, and of course, spoke English and had a lot of fun. Next time SPEED EXCHANGE is offered, be sure to sign up at UEM LAB. You'll like it too.
Look at www.uem.es/uemlab Photo Album for more photos!

What a great idea! Everyone should join these speed exchanges! Listening to English is a great help but NOT enough, we really need to talk as well. "Caminante no hay camino, se hace camino al andar..."
Yes, Esther, that's the whole idea of Extra Complementary Classes. Students need to get over being afraid of speaking in English. Talk. Talk. Talk. And have fun too. Hope to see some of you at University Reporters or Make A Mask this month. Wendy
I think that is a very good way to learn English at the same time you have fun! In fact, you can meet some new people, including foreign students that I'd never speak because they don't speak Spanish and you don't know them. In the other hand, this is a good way to lose the shame to speak English, because this is one of the biggest problems for many people. You can even make friends to go out, study or spend a summer in other country!
