The future---your future?
Are you tech savy? Do you have all the most up to date gadgets and appliances? Do you miss them terribly when you are away? When you travel do you expect all the same technology as you have at home?
Can YOU live without your cell phone, your laptop, your Blackberry for a week or a month? Do you feel a little lost if you can't get to your phone messages or your email? Do you feel disconnected?
Are today's electronics necessary to make you happy? How much of your money goes into the latest hottest-selling item?
Let's reflect on this:
Your parents and/or grandparents managed to get by without any of the things you NEED today. Think back 100 + years. No car--no GPS. No phone--no messaging. No electricity-- no recharging anything! How did they do it? They talked to each other, visited each other, wrote letters and sent them to each other.
You are not into technology. You're a more down-to-earth type. You prefer a pencil and a piece of paper. You'd rather go camping and get back to nature. You NEED to get away from the high tech world you're living and working in. You'd rather tackle wilderness survival than a new computer program. You're surviving at work or school, but just. You need to get out and away from it all.Or do you?
Let's think ahead another 100 years, or maybe much less. What will your children or grandchilden NEED?
